Since our inception in 2016, Brown Sugar Fairies has aimed to illuminate and uplift Black and Brown creatives within the realm of Faerie through Art, Culture, Storytelling, Photography, Healing and Workshops.

Our mission is to inspire children and the child at heart through enchanting stories that celebrate friendship, adventure, and healing. Created by Author and Artist Aiysha Sinclair, our book series introduces a world where Black Fairies take center stage, offering a unique and inclusive narrative that promotes diversity and representation. As one of the first books featuring original tales with fairies of color, we aim to empower young readers by showcasing characters that reflect their own beautiful identities and cultures. Through captivating storytelling and vibrant illustrations, we transport readers to a magical realm where imagination knows no bounds. The Brown Sugar Fairies books spark joy, foster a love for reading, and encourage self-discovery. We are dedicated to creating literary experiences that inspire young minds to embrace their uniqueness, cultivate lasting friendships, embark on exciting adventures, and find healing through the power of storytelling.
